RapidRed was founded by Bruce A. Tate in 2001, originally under the name J2Life, LLC. The new name reflects our commitment to use the most effective technology to let you deliver compelling, performant applications in the shortest timeframe possible. We won’t sacrifice long-term productivity for short-term savings. We promote agile techniques such as small, smart teams, automated testing, heavy customer involvement, and regular demonstrations.
All things being equal, RapidRed believes that risk increases with longer development projects, and with larger teams. We seek technologies and development methods that let you work with small teams and deliver quickly. We seek to help you build better developers. Our training has a strong emphasis on realistic hands-on labs, and our engagements seek to help you ramp up quickly, delivering business value with each new step.
RapidRed also believes that experienced developers make the best trainers. We use our technologies in our books, our web site, with our customers, and within the Ruby community.
RapidRed also believes that small, virtual teams made up of the best developers in the industry can make some of the most effective software in the world. Though we don’t hire hundreds of developers, we work with some of the best Ruby developers in the world.
